I have a successful thirty-year career working and teaching in mental health care/nursing and hold a Master’s degree in Adult Education where my research focus was reflective practice. I am a NCCP Level III coach in Artistic swimming. My accumulated personal and professional experience and education has equipped me to work with people providing guidance to assist them in uncovering their knowledge, strengths and unique sense of self.

I believe people have learned and acquired more knowledge than they realize. I believe we never stop learning and that life is a moving target and people can grow, change and evolve. I, myself am a life long learner and reflective practitioner.

I am a wife and mom and for the past few years have entered into the wondrous world of grand-parenting. I love spending time in nature near mountains and water and leading a healthy active lifestyle.

Testimonials

Working with Cathy has brought a whole new perspective to my life. In practicing the reflective coaching exercises Cathy teaches, I have become much better at self evaluation and then adjusting how I work.

Sport Coach

“Cathy provided our coaching staff with a session on reflective coaching practices.  This is a really practical and effective way to improve your coaching skills and learn what your strengths are. As the head coach, it really made me consider whether our mission statement is aligning with our on coaching practices.  I look forward to having Cathy lead more development sessions for our coaches so we can use reflection and her guidance to improve our leadership skills”.

Head Coach

“During these difficult times, it is easy to get lost in all the chaos but this session was exactly what our coaches needed. It was well presented and challenged coaches to stop and reflect on what is really important. Cathy also provided us with tools on how to be reflective and then apply what we learned for the future. Thank you so much Cathy!”

Provincial Technical director

“Cathy has been a part of my life for over 20 years; first, as my coach in the sport of artistic swimming (formerly synchronized swimming), and now, as one of my most steadfast champions. Cathy always finds the kindest words to remind me of what I have accomplished while making sure to check in on all aspects my life, including my career, family and relationships. She is among my wisest and most genuine supporters.”
